In addition to producing fruit in its own orchards around the world, Westfalia Fruit sources avocados and other fruit from select growers. The Group also licenses growers to produce avocado and mango cultivars protected by patents and Plant Breeders’ Rights, as part of what we call Growers Associations or Association Cultivar Growers.
On this page we feature information, news and services aimed at those growers and Club Cultivar members within our various networks. From time to time, in the form of a video or article, we will introduce a grower from one of our own Westfalia farms, or one from outside the Group, so that interested parties can learn more about the people who play a critical role in nurturing the fruit they enjoy to eat.

Our Rootstocks
At Westfalia Fruit, research to develop disease-tolerant clonal rootstocks has been ongoing for more than 25 years. The objective is to produce uniform trees with superior tree health and yields.
Our Cultivar Clubs
Westfalia Fruit’s R&D division based in South Africa, is continuously selecting and evaluating both avocado and mango fruiting cultivars to find cultivars that meet specific criteria determined by Westfalia’s greater strategy.
